Assessment. Advocacy. Education.
The Lake County Coalition for the Homeless (LCCH) is a consortium of individuals and community organizations that strives to ensure that the homeless have access to needed services.
To that end, LCCH identifies community needs and underserved populations, and explores possible ways to fill gaps in services. Being able to share information on an ongoing basis increases the opportunities to collaborate while reducing duplication of services.
Plans for the future include expanding our membership base and reaching out to all parts of the County to educate the public about housing issues. Please take a moment to contact us- our continued success depends on your support.
Built for Zero.
In 2015, the Lake County Coalition for the Homeless (LCCH) was selected to participate in Zero:2016, a national coalition of communities working end chronic and veterans homelessness. Through the hard work of LCCH leadership and members, we have achieved significant reductions in the Point-in-Time Counts of Homelessness:
-76% reduction in chronic homeless
-86% reduction in veteran homelessness
Our work is not done. As the Zero: 2016 campaign evolves in to Build for Zero. The Homeless Coalition's committees continue to work toward finishing the job of ending homelessness. Learn more about Built for Zero on Community Solutions' website. Join our committee's to help advance this work to zero.
